Recovery happens in safety, and it happens together. Always paced for where you are.
This is the deep recovery your body has been waiting for. Education, coaching, community, and a practitioner-led path, all in one place.

If any of this is your reality, this is the space designed for what comes next.
A nervous system regulation membership and a recovery pathway.
A safe place to support your nervous system at your own pace, on a pathway shaped around you rather than a protocol to push through.
Safe Ground has been built through more than 10 years of working in the chronic health space, alongside a personal recovery from chronic illness, including Lyme disease and co-infections, shingles, gut issues, brain fog, and a long list of symptoms that came out of nowhere. That lived experience sits underneath everything here. You can read more about Lisa here.
This space is for you if you are living with chronic fatigue, chronic illness, chronic pain, sensitivities, persistent symptoms, trauma, or nervous system dysregulation. It is especially for you if you have already tried a lot. Perhaps you have worked through nervous system tools, somatic practices, brain retraining, and other programs. There is good information in many of those.
What is often missing is a piece of the puzzle that is unique to you.
When we are unwell, it is natural to feel broken and to want to be fixed. But that wanting can carry an urgency that the nervous system reads as pressure. So you can end up doing ten different practices and still not feel a shift. Or you are carrying unresolved trauma that needs support and resourcing. Or you are simply overwhelmed by how many options exist, with a new approach on every page you scroll past.
That overwhelm is not a sign you are doing it wrong. It is a lot for any nervous system to hold.
Safe Ground is about coming together in one place that offers titrated nervous system regulation for you and your system. It is a recovery pathway, not a protocol.
When we look at the nervous system, at neuroscience, at psychoneuroimmunology, and at polyvagal theory, safety sits at the very foundation.
You can do nervous system practices, vagal toning, and regulation work, but if those do not feel safe to your system, they can be overstimulating. They can register as a threat. So we begin by building safety. Signals of safety for your brain and your body, around the symptoms you have, the thoughts you carry, the sensations you feel, and the emotions that move through you.
Safety is not a warm-up. Safety is the foundation of recovery.
When the foundation is safety rather than a threat response, your system can begin to learn that the sensations, the fatigue, and the experience are not danger.
This is not a place where you are talked at. It is a place where you have an experience of supporting and regulating your own system. Here is what that looks like.
All sessions are recorded, so if you cannot make one live, you can watch the replay when you have the capacity.
Safe Ground is a membership and a pathway. It is not a program and it is not a step-by-step guide of what to do and when.
When we go through chronic illness or trauma, we do not have a choice in it. We do not choose to be unwell or to have a hard experience. The brain, though, feels safe with choice. So Safe Ground offers your brain and body choice, because choice itself helps your system feel safe.
You choose your path. You choose which live sessions to attend, which pathway to be curious about, and what your system is ready for. You will never hear "do only this one technique," because the one thing that helps you may be different from the thing that helps the person beside you. We are all unique in what we need.
At the core are recovery pathways we explore together. Safety comes first. From there we look at trauma and emotional regulation and processing in a way that feels safe, and at pathways such as mitochondrial support, nutrition, and lifestyle, among others. We walk through these in a way that is bioindividual to you, at a pace you can actually implement.
Safe Ground is practitioner-led. It is paced to you and your nervous system. It is trauma-aware and trauma-informed, in a space where many approaches are not.
We work with the brain, the nervous system, and the body together, and we do not push you beyond your system's capacity. We can only move at the pace of the nervous system, and when we do, that is what creates safety, capacity, and the room to expand back into life and into joy.
This space is also shaped with very sensitive nervous systems in mind, drawing on both clinical experience and lived experience.
Your first week is about meeting you exactly where you are. As much or as little as you like, and often less is more.
There is a first step and a first-week pathway to explore that is built so it does not overwhelm you. It starts with one thing. That is what Safe Ground is. Start with one thing, then build your capacity from there, one moment at a time.
You might read the first short section, attend one of the first live sessions, pick a pathway to be curious about, or simply notice that you signed up. Any of those is a real first step.
If you are too tired, too foggy, or unsure you can do the work, you have full permission to be human in whatever you are experiencing. Slow is fast when we work with the nervous system. We do home play, not homework. Do your best and leave the rest.
This is one of the most common things people carry. You have tried so much. Part of you wonders if anything can be different.
You do not need to believe this will work for it to work. You can bring all your doubt with you, and please do, because we work with that doubt and with the beliefs that it is not possible for you. The brain and body have the capacity to change and rewire. That is neuroplasticity, and it does not require your certainty to begin.
The "how" so many people ask about is what we explore inside Safe Ground. The tools, the practices, and the way we build safety.
If you do not have much hope right now, you are welcome to borrow mine. I will hold it for you and walk the path alongside you.
We are not here to do everything at once. We are here to start with one thing and build evidence for your brain and body that recovery is possible.
Safe Ground is largely self-guided, with resources, group coaching, and a clear recovery framework to follow. For many people, it is the right starting point and holds everything they need.
For some, it sits well alongside other support.
A few things to know:
There is no single right answer here. It is about what fits where you are right now.
You do not need to have it all figured out to be in the right place. You only need to take one step, and then the next, when you are ready.
I invite you to join Safe Ground for a minimum of three months, because for most people recovery builds through small, repeated practices that grow your system's capacity over time. Not through force. Through presence, and through showing up in whatever way you can.
I hope to welcome you to Safe Ground. It will be a gift to have you here.

Recovery does not come from one technique. It comes from supporting the layers that complex chronic illness actually needs to settle and shift.
Built on neuroscience, polyvagal theory, psychoneuroimmunology, and over a decade of clinical practice with chronic illness recovery.
Why your body responds the way it does. The science of safety, threat, and the cell danger response.
Polyvagal-informed, somatic, and embodied tools. Building a flexible, resilient system over time.
Practitioner-led brain rewiring. Built around safety, paced for sensitised systems.
EFT tapping, parts work, and the practice of feeling without flooding.
How nervous system protection patterns show up in chronic illness, and how to work with them.
Daily rhythm. Light. Movement. Sleep. The unsexy foundations that change everything.
The cellular layer of recovery. Where energy comes from. What depletes it. What helps it return.
Bioindividual. Paced. How food, digestion, and the nervous system speak to each other.
"My brain is responding to situations differently this week. Evidence I can see that I am slowly rewiring those patterns. It makes me feel hopeful for my future and excited."

Lisa Gumieniuk is an Australian-based Integrative Neuro-Somatic Practitioner with a background in nervous system, somatics, and chronic and complex illness. She is also a certified Evidence-Based EFT Coach, Practitioner and Mentor, and the founder of The Reset Method.
She has worked in the wellness industry for over a decade. She holds memberships with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT) and serves on the Board of the Australian Chronic Infectious and Inflammatory Disease Society (ACIIDS).
The foundation of her work is in professional training, clinical practice supporting over 3,200 people through 1:1, group sessions, and trainings, and her own personal experience.
Lisa lived through severe chronic illness. ME/CFS. Lyme disease. EBV. Autoimmune conditions. Severe brain fog. A nervous system in full collapse. Over 120 practitioners and 88 doctor appointments did not give her the answers she needed.
What changed her recovery was not one fix. It was the slow rebuilding of a system that finally felt safe enough to settle.
When she says she understands what you are living, she means it. Literally.
If you are living with chronic and complex illness and ready for a different kind of support.
You may recognise yourself if:
"My glimmer this week has been being able to re-introduce two vitamin supplements that are very much needed, and my body is accepting them with safety. A huge win for me with MCAS and other chronic health issues."

A note on commitment
Real recovery does not come from quick fixes or one-off sessions. The shifts that hold over time happen when you commit to consistent practice, safety, and support.
A few minutes of work on your own can feel soothing in the moment. But structured, regular practice with practitioner guidance, coaching, and community builds the deep nervous system safety that allows symptoms to ease and real change to last.
That is why the monthly plan includes a 3-month minimum commitment. It is not about locking you in. It is about giving your body the steady rhythm and layered support it needs to actually shift.
You have likely been unwell for years, and recovery takes time. Some members notice fast relief. Most need at least three months of consistent nervous system support to notice meaningful, lasting change. Those who experience fast relief often choose to stay because the work continues to deepen.
You have taken the first step. Here is what happens next.

As soon as you join, you'll receive a welcome email with your login. Inside the portal you'll find a short orientation video, the resource library, all current sessions and replays, and Zoom links plus the schedule for upcoming live sessions.

There is no rush. Start with the foundational resources, listen to a session at your capacity, or sit in the community space until you are ready. Your own pace. Your capacity.

Each month you'll be invited to join the live group coaching sessions with Lisa and the Key Recovery Pillar Workshop. Live, paced, and recorded so you never miss anything when life gets in the way.

Fatigue, head pressure & depression
"For more than 20 years I lived with constant fatigue and nearly 10 years of relentless head pressure. It affected everything: my business, my family life, even my belief that recovery was possible. I often felt weighed down by depression, stress, and negative thoughts about the future. I honestly believed I might never get better."
Within just 8 weeks of working with Lisa, everything shifted.
"Today I have a clear mind. I no longer beat myself up or believe I'm not good enough. I can regulate myself, set boundaries, and even coach myself with kindness. For the first time in decades, I feel amazing."
"Had one of the best night's sleep I have had in a long time. Woke up feeling positive and full of energy. When stressful moments came up at work, I was able to approach them with love and compassion."
BS"Tapping during the MRI was very helpful in keeping me calm and regulated. Afterwards I came home and didn't crash out, which is a new experience for me."
Julia S"I did a round of tapping immediately and reassured my body 'we are safe' and felt so much better. The work we do here is so important and so powerful."
Kylie"I'm feeling so hopeful. This all feels exactly like what I have needed and I feel like you are hearing me. That feels safe."

Chronic insomnia
"For five years, I lived with chronic insomnia. I tried everything: sleep specialists, acupuncture, naturopathy, supplements, homeopathy, other approaches. Nothing worked. Every night I dreaded bedtime, because if I missed my 'sleep window,' adrenaline would surge, my thoughts would race, and I'd lie there panicking about how I'd function the next day. I felt broken, hopeless, and terrified that if I didn't sleep, everything in my life would fall apart."
After 11 sessions with Lisa, my sleep is 99 percent better.
"I know my body can do this, and I know I have the tools to support myself. That belief alone has been life-changing."
"Before working with Lisa, I had tried EFT on my own. I thought it was meant to cure me and when it did not, I gave up. What I did not realise was that EFT is really about helping regulate my nervous system, and Lisa showed me how. In the first week, the shifts were massive. The burning pain I had for months after medication dropped by 98 percent. For the first time I felt like my body was not broken."
"Lisa brings an immediate sense of ease to her sessions. With warmth, caring and knowledge creating a sense of safety and comfort. She is confident as a practitioner with many skills to draw upon, but she also helped me to feel empowered in my own knowing and personal pace, guiding with grace and respect."
"The Lyme road is long and challenging. Around the time of my diagnosis I felt lost, confused, afraid and extremely hard done by, and was lucky enough to find a support group Lisa facilitated. Lisa was able to help me understand what Lyme was, see the next steps I needed to take, and reflect on what I considered to be barriers. The deeper knowledge I now have is taking my life in a much different direction."
"I was able to clear the fear and anxiety that I felt around being me and embracing my power. I have had the deepest sleep and have since gone on to pursue my dreams. Lisa is an incredible practitioner, and her ability to hold space is amazing."
"Once I have applied Lisa's method I feel that the anxiety and stress diminish in usually about 5 minutes and I feel a great sense of calm."
"I went on a 6-day trip and stayed regulated and took care of myself. We had two days in New York City, which is quite a chaotic place, but I felt safe there and had a good time. Despite some disagreements with family I was with, I was able to continually bring myself back to centre. I was so happy to be out and feeling good."
This community is held by an Australian practitioner. Australian time zones (AEST/AEDT). Australian language, references, and rhythm.
There are very few recovery spaces built specifically with the Australian chronic illness community in mind. This is one of them.
International members from the United States, Canada, UK, Europe, and beyond are also welcome. All live sessions are recorded so members in any time zone can join asynchronously.
"Lisa was able to handle each meeting providing guidance, knowledge and a positive attitude to a room of strangers. Allowing sufferers a voice to relate and share their experiences in a safe environment. She has always given her time to talk me through what life threw at me. She has also been a voice for chronic illness sufferers in Australia and abroad, appearing on national television and at the Senate inquiry."

Safe Ground is grounded in neuroscience, polyvagal theory, and psychoneuroimmunology, and held inside a small community with a real practitioner present. The 8 Pillars of Recovery are presented, along with many restorative pathways, so you can implement them and recover at your own pace and capacity.
You have likely invested in things that promised a lot and delivered little. Safe Ground is different in two ways. First, it is built on safety. Nothing here asks you to push, force, or override your body. Everything moves at the pace your nervous system can actually integrate. Second, it is held by a practitioner with over 10 years of experience and a lived understanding of chronic illness recovery, who has supported over 3,200 people through 1:1, group sessions, and trainings. You are not handed a program and left alone. What is offered is a compassionate, safe, grounded, evidence-based, practitioner-led space, paced for where you are.
1:1 work is dedicated, individualised, and includes deeper trauma support and processing and personalised pacing across the full Reset Method. Safe Ground is a group community that gives you ongoing education, group coaching, community support, and access to the library. For some people the community is enough. For others it works alongside 1:1. The community is a fraction of the cost of private work.
There is at least one live session each week, and every session is recorded and added to the library.
Each live session runs for around 60 to 75 minutes and is a mix of different types of sessions, including coaching circles with Q&A, Restorative Grounding Sessions which include somatic and nervous system resets, Key Recovery Pillar Workshops, and guest talks. You can come with something to ask or simply listen. Cameras are optional although recommended. You are welcome to lie down, rest, or move around as your body needs. Every session is recorded and added to the library, so if you cannot attend live or need to leave partway through they are available.
This community is built for sensitised systems. Your own pace. Your capacity. Recordings, pacing tools, and a library you can return to when your body is ready are all designed for this exact reality.
This space is designed for exactly this reality. There is no minimum you have to meet. On the hardest days, doing nothing at all is completely okay. Every live session is recorded, so you never have to be present in real time. The library is there whenever you have a small window of capacity, even if that is 15 minutes once a week. Some members engage deeply, others dip in when they can, and both are welcome. Your membership holds a steady, supportive container around you, and it waits for you when your body needs to rest.
All contributions are invitational and optional. You are welcome to simply listen, to type in the chat if you prefer, or to watch the recording later in your own space. You set the level of visibility that feels safe for you, and that can change from session to session. This is a space that respects hypervigilance and protection patterns rather than pushing against them.
This space is not a traditional support group. It is a space for education, community, nervous system regulation, shared experiences, and group coaching. It is not a forum for sharing detailed personal trauma or extensive symptom stories, or getting into and sharing deep stories. It is a space for implementing Safe Ground and guided recovery questions. Trauma support and deeper personal requirements belong in a 1:1 container.
Yes. This community is intentionally trauma-informed. All live sessions and the community space are led with care, sensitivity, and nervous system safety in mind. However, this is not a space for processing deep trauma in real time. Work happens within a window of tolerance, designed to help you regulate, not overwhelm. The group format does not allow for intensive trauma release, crisis processing, or deep personal story work. If you are navigating chronic or acute trauma that needs deeper, personalised care, the 1:1 Reset Method Journey is a better next step.
This is one of the most important questions you can ask, and the answer sits at the heart of how this space is built. Safety comes first, always. The practices are paced and titrated, which means they move in small, manageable steps that stay within your capacity rather than flooding your system. You are never pushed to go deeper than feels safe. You learn to recognise your own signals and to slow down or pause whenever you need to. This is the opposite of forcing or overriding. It is about building enough safety that your system can begin to settle in its own time. That being said, everyone's capacity is different and how you respond is unique to you.
If you miss a session, it is recorded and added to the library to watch as a replay.
Monthly memberships can be cancelled after the 3 months. Future annual memberships can be cancelled before the next billing cycle.
No, all purchases are final and are non-refundable. Due to the digital access nature of the resources, refunds cannot be processed for any reason. Please make sure you have read the inclusions and the 3-month commitment context before joining. Your commitment helps create safety and consistency for your system, and ensures the space remains secure for all members.
No. Education is built in. Some members will be new to this work, others have been studying it for years. The community holds both.
Yes. Many members of this community also work with Lisa privately through The Reset Method, to complement the group work.
After joining, you'll receive login details via email. Everything is accessible from desktop or mobile. Replays, library, community, and live sessions are all in one place.
For as long as your membership is active. While you are a member, you have full access to all live sessions, replays, and resources.
Session times around the world
Session dates and times vary, although this is an approximate guide.
Our 2 most common session times, shown in a few international time zones. Because Australia and the Northern Hemisphere change daylight saving at different times of year, the conversions shift between the Australian winter and summer.
9.30am Sydney
Australian winter · AEST · approx Apr to Oct
Australian summer · AEDT · approx Oct to Apr
7.00pm Sydney
Australian winter · AEST · approx Apr to Oct
Australian summer · AEDT · approx Oct to Apr
Times can shift by an hour for a few weeks around the daylight saving changeovers, when Australia and the Northern Hemisphere are not yet aligned. The member portal always shows the next session in your local time.
This is not another protocol. This is not another app. This is a guided recovery membership where your reality is taken seriously, your nervous system is met where it is, and the work happens at a pace your body can actually integrate.
Recovery happens in safety and community. Paced for your capacity.
